Dr. Ashok Da Ranade Archives

The collection of Dr Ashok Da Ranade’s writings and audio-visual media, along with his personal collection of books and source material is preserved at Dr Ashok Da Ranade Archives (ADRA) situated in Pune. (Address of the Archives: Dr Ashok Da Ranade Archives – Udyog Bhavan ‘D’ building, Hirabaug Chowk, Near Swargate, Off Tilak Road, Pune 411002)

The Archives is created under the auspices of Maharashtra Cultural Centre, Pune and it was formally inaugurated in 2014 by Shubha Mudgal.

The foundation of Dr Ashok Da Ranade Archives (ADRA) has been laid in line with the expansive vision of scholar-musician Dr Ashok Da. Ranade. The archive consists of his collection of wide-ranging and rare material, painstakingly put together over the 50 years of his ethnomusicological journey.

ADRA is committed to the preservation and digitization of this treasure-house of resources on the performing arts and making it available to students, researchers and performers.
